This tour allows you to discover the Cinque Terre from a unique point of view, that is from the saddle of an electric bicycle (“pedal assist”). This versatile vehicle allows to move quickly, quietly, ecologically and effortlessly, both on the plain and uphill, which is fundamental in an area like the Cinque Terre, where the differences in height are a major obstacle to mobility. Within 4 hours you have the opportunity to visit Vernazza and 2 sanctuaries: San Bernardino and Madonna of Reggio. Throughout the journey, the sea and land views are breath-taking.
The guide provides a lot of information on local history and culture, focusing on the five sanctuaries that surmount the Cinque Terre, which are less crowded but equally fascinating places. He also pinpoint the many terraces that are encountered along the way, focusing on the history of wine and olive cultivation. While making many small stops to admire the view, take pictures and give explanations, the two major stops are made in Vernazza and Soviore, and in this last location there is also a taste of focaccia and local wine.
Once in Vernazza you can decide whether to return to Levanto by train (the ticket is included) or to end the tour in Vernazza.
Tour length 18 Km, difference in height 610 m, medium-low difficulty, paved road.
