	Levanto Levanto is the first little town from the Cinque Terre to the North. From here the Cinque Terre are easily reachable by car or in only a few minutes also by train. From Levanto depart some of the famous footpaths which, crossing a breathtaking scenery, arrive to the Cinque Terre.
The beautiful village of Levanto with its mediterranean atmosphere offers a historical centre with an impressing fortress and the gothic church S. Andrea. In the centre you find many beautiful shops, small boutiques, cafès, bars, good restaurants, pizzerias and wonderful ice-cream-shops. Further the village has a train station from where you can catch the regional trains going in a few minutes to the Cinque Terre and also to the neighbouring villages in the north and you have the possibility to choose an express train which in short time brings you to Genoa, Rapallo, La Spezia or Pisa. On the beautiful sandy beach of the village during the summer time can be rented sun umbrellas, deckchairs and canoes. In the town is further a diving centre which rents and sells diving and snorkelling equipment and organizes guided diving tours.
