The Hotel Portoroca is located 200 metres from the historic centre of Monterosso. Its extraordinary position between land and sky on the Mediterranean sea offers our guest a relaxing oasis far from noise and stress of everyday modern life. The antique furnishings gives our guest the feeling of staying in an old and elegant villa. Thanks to its few rooms (only 43), guests never feel unknown. They mingle and meet each other and in a few moments after their arrival, they feel as comfortable as if they had always been there. During the warm months guests may enjoy their meals or just relax in our flowered garden that overlooks the port and the beach of Monterosso. In our spacious and panoramic restaurant our professional chefs prepare exquisite menus featuring traditional and typical local dishes (that include fish caught in the sea right under the hotel) that are accompanied by the best Italian wines. The hotel is considered one of the most beautiful hotels in Italy and is highly recommended by the most prestigious tourist guides. On the beach below the hotel, our guests will find lounge chairs and sun umbrellas reserved solely for them. If they prefer to stay at the hotel, they may enjoy our large and fully furnished garden terrace that, located above the sea, resembles a ship prow.

Position :
The hotel lies in a very beautiful position about 200 m from the historic centre overlooking the sea. It is a perfect starting point for the several walking tours in the Cinque Terre crossing olive and wine terraces and enjoying the colours and scents of the Mediterranean vegetation. During the summer months the town is closed to traffic in order to allow it to become an exclusively pedestrian area. Therefore taxis are the only vehicles allowed to circulate within the village. A free taxi service will pick up you at your arrival at the railway station or at the public parking. To the centre of the village and the beach it is a 5 minute walk, to the railway station it is about 12 minutes walk.
