The property
:
The idea of our little agriturismo “Il Meo” was born from our wish to leave the big city (Milan) were we have been living for many years in order to find a new way of living much more in harmony with the land at a more natural pace of life.
The building as well as the land were left unoccupied and uncultivated for 25 years. However, since 2003 we have been uncovering our hilly land which had grown into a virtual forest – cutting off the tops of all the olive-trees and planting new vines with local grape varieties such as vermentino, bosco and roccese.
The house has been entirely rebuilt respecting the local Ligurian building style using locally sourced materials. Il Meo is the original name for the farm which we have chosen to keep.
Our aim is to preserve a unique landscape and way of life, so much so that cars need to be parked 100 metres from the farm under the shadow of the pine trees. In case you might be wondering, we will of course arrange to help you bring your luggage to your rooms!

Features

Il Meo offers the possibility of accommodation in three-double rooms. Every room has its own WC and shower, TV and safe.
All of our customers can park their cars on our property about 100 metres from the house, which is reachable only on foot.
At the Agriturismo il Meo you can have all the information you need about the paths of the Cinque Terre (The Five Lands) which criss-cross this stunning landscape.
We should also add that you are within 10 minutes walk of beautiful beaches and coves as well as being within walking distance of ancient fishing villages.
We organize excursions with a guide on request.

Position :
The little agriturismo Il Meo is at Monterosso al Mare inside the "Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre", which being a National Park is preserved as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We are in one of the valleys of this park near the historical centre of Monterosso al Mare on a footpath (No. 9) joining the town to the Sanctuary Madonna di Soviore.
Coming from the north:
On the A12 motorway take the exit "Levanto" which takes you down to the town following the road signs to Monterosso. When you reach the hill "Colle di Gritta", keep going following the road signs "Centro Storico". Just before the third mountain tunnel turn right following the sign to "Ristorante il Ciliegio". Approximately 300 metres past the restaurant, you will see our sign "Il Meo".
Coming from the south:
On the A12 motorway take the exit "Brugnato-Borghetto Vara" and follow the signs to "Cinque Terre". After about 10 kilometres turn right following the road signs to "Monterosso al Mare". At the crossroads, turn left following signs to "Centro Storico". Just before the third mountain tunnel turn right following the signs to "Ristorante il Ciliegio". Approximately 300 metres past the restaurant, you will see our sign "Il Meo".
From the train station of Monterosso, turn left and go through the old mountain tunnel passing through the old centre until the end of the pedestrian area. Go up the road and after few metres, just in front of the covered parking, take a footpath signposted "Path n. 9" over the small stone steps. Go along this path for about 100 metres and then turn left when you reach our sign "Il Meo".
