Monterosso
Monterosso is the biggest village of the Cinque Terre, surrounded by green hills and the cape Punta Mesco in the north. On the terrace fields around the village there are olive and lemon trees and, of course, vineyards. The village is divided into two parts, both on the sandy beach: the old Monterosso and the more modern part Fegina. Fegina has been created in the last hundred years with beautiful villas of the rich families and nice hotels surrounded by green gardens. The two parts are connected by the wonderful beach promenade with a short walk. In the modern part there is also situated the train station of Monterosso.
